The Integration of ENDFORCE Enterprise with Lucent VitalQIP Isolates Non-Compliant Endpoints from Corporate Network Resources

DUBLIN, Ohio (January 17, 2006) ― ENDFORCE® announced today that the combination of Lucent Technologies' VitalQIP® IP Address Management software and ENDFORCE Enterprise™ has been named an SC Awards 2006 finalist for the category of ”Best Enterprise Security Solution.” Award winners will be announced during a special ceremony on Feb. 14, 2006 at the Fairmont Hotel in San Jose, California.

The SC Awards are considered the world’s leading awards program for the information security industry. Products considered for the "Best Enterprise Security Solution” category integrate multiple security solutions to protect against complex threats. Finalists were chosen by readers of SC Magazine.

"The combination of ENDFORCE Enterprise and Lucent VitalQIP gives companies and government organizations a powerful weapon to defend and secure their networks," said Greg Moore, chief executive officer of ENDFORCE. "We are pleased that SC Magazine readers recognize the strength of our joint solution with Lucent."

"We are pleased that SC Magazine has recognized the value of the combined Lucent-ENDFORCE integrated security product," said Rand Edwards, director of marketing, Lucent Worldwide Services. "The combination of VitalQIP with ENDFORCE Enterprise takes security policy enforcement to the next level."

ENDFORCE Enterprise works hand-in-hand with Lucent's award-winning VitalQIP next-generation IP address management software to make sure that all computer users on a network — on-site workers, remote offices, telecommuters and contractors — comply with official enterprise security policies before they gain access to corporate resources. Non-compliant endpoints include computers with missing operating system patches or out-of-date virus protection software, incorrect firewall or security settings, or those on which users have enabled unwanted peer-to-peer applications.

The ENDFORCE and Lucent joint solution is also a finalist for the SC Magazine Awards' "Best Integrated Security Software."
