LAN-based Endpoints

ENDFORCE Enterprise provides the only viable solution for enforcing LAN-based network access control across today’s complex network environments.

Protecting the enterprise LAN from non-compliant endpoints, and ensuring network performance and availability is one of the many goals that network, security, and desktop managers face every day. The hard perimeter between remote users and local users is gone forever. With the on-going proliferation of laptop computers, there is simply no way to control where these endpoints are located when they access the corporate network.

Because of their mobility, these endpoints are typically in various states of compliance with security policy when they connect to the LAN. Keeping the operating systems patched and the security applications such as anti-virus, anti-spyware, and personal firewalls operating and current ultimately ends up being the end-user’s responsibility. Because until now, administrators were not armed with automated enforcement capabilities to centralize policy enforcement and ensure compliance.

ENDFORCE’s software approach provides a complete network access control solution that takes advantage of existing network infrastructure rather than requiring an upgrade to existing network equipment or a network redesign to use new network devices for enforcement. By leveraging any combination of DHCP, 802.1x, Cisco NAC, or agent-based enforcement mechanisms, ENDFORCE Enterprise is a simple/cost effective and extensible solution that protects the network today and tomorrow.
